Our purpose is to channel passion into collective power — mobilizing the cultural and economic influence of fans to advance equity, accountability, and secure a sustainable future for both athletes and fans alike.

Our Focus
When fans show up for women’s sports, we break records, and move culture. But right now, we’re not connected; our collective power is scattered.
Fans Rise Up exists to change that.As an advocacy and community-building organization for women’s sports fans, we’re uniting passionate supporters to connect, channel influence, and take thoughtful action to ensure athletes are supported and flourish for generations to come. We direct our community and advocacy work across three core areas:

Championing players means standing for equity and building a stronger future together.

02 — THE ISSUE
Why Change is Needed
The sports system wasn’t built with us in mind. Not for women. Not for fans of color. Not for queer fans. Not for fans with disabilities. And certainly not for women’s sports.
Women’s sports inherited structures built for men’s leagues: profit-first ownership, media that sidelined women, and fan experiences that seem to ignore our values. These outdated structures were never designed to serve women’s sports — and too often, they hold it back by forcing the industry into outdated models that erase its distinct culture and value.
And yet, women’s sports have been carried forward by these marginalized communities and loyal supporters. Now, those very fans are begining to be priced out of the very future they supported for years.
Fans Rise Up exists to change that — building an organization that connects the community and advocates for women’s sports, athletes, and fans.

Organizing, educating, and rallying around the WNBA’s upcoming CBA negotiations. Amplifying players’ demands and ensuring fans stand united to support their efforts for increasing revenue share.

Campaigns
We are organizing campaigns, partnerships, and coordinated actions for fair pay, equitable fan access, ethical sponsorships, and athlete well-being.

Fan Standards
We’re launching the first Fan Standards Initiative to establish inclusive and respectful community norms. Through forums, panels, and surveys, fans will help define what it means to show up responsibly for women’s sports.
